Caught

She often throws a net of snow
With winds that beat and rip and blow
That jaws me with a grip of cold
Each gnaw a burn of raw enfold

A cat of nine tales strikes its sting
That tares my skin so blood will wring
And rivulets of pain extend
To eat into each fibers bend

Then cleans me with a sponge and bath
With tears of brine devoid of wrath
The touch so tender and genteel
It soothes away the hurt with heal

That scars that would an endless stay
Just clear and seem to fade away
And I am lost to clemency
Just floating in its ecstasy

But being made of flesh and blood
How long can live a plants re-bud?

Wonderful morning write Sy..
You leave us with much to ponder.
Well done m'friend.
Pouring you a hot cup of Chai tea.
~Morning hugs, Nancy~

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

That snow is an ice castle today, Sy...
we had freezing rain last night, and if
the sun were out, we'd have diamond-studded
bushes and trees...

as it is, we have gray skies and slippery roads...
