Abrasive sand and waves warn.
Yet I question
just what it is that leads me.
Knowing I have no business here.
It hits me hard this day,
the smile is now a cracked display.

The oceans wake threatens.
I curse my own deficient character.
Lack of constraint,
lusting for what can never be mine,
worlds that can never intertwine.

The tide recedes
and I get up from my lonely place.
Knowing another time
might have shown me a little pity
affording me time to walk the forbidden city.

of your skin.

"cast me gently into the morning, for the night has been unkind"

Now there's a verse I wish I'd written.  Nice job on this Myrtle...

And yet, who is to say
that we aren't exactly where
we belong, because we don't yet know
what is behind
the next moment?

Good job here, Susan.

Magnificent Susan, absolutely.
