Coming Across

Sitting with thoughts at my fingertips, always
wondering when those same from my heart
slid down my cheeks,
did you catch them...
did you taste my needs
or feel their warmth in full view?

Forgetting to press body thoughts
against body, a reason for ...
staying with me for now,
the reaching up missed, even if
lips pressed lips and eyes met eyes
allowing you to haunt me, taunt me
with visions of yesterday...
needs of today.

I know truth and feel want,
though sometimes waiting for the roses,
the adornment that kisses my mind:
to sleep in calm, to dream in color
to lift my burdens and yes, to be happy...

Stay visible to me
for tomorrow is "the way to forever"
and the eyes never lie...

What a deeply resonant poem, it just builds and builds, your voice is strong and true...

Passions

Your words are excellent.

Hope you dont mind while I play a little fun.

Dave

Summer bloomed
In a place
Wooded
Watching cricket
In England
Called Grace
Watching as we lost

Sitting with thoughts at my fingertips, always
wondering when those same from my heart
slid down my cheeks,
did you catch them...
did you taste my needs
or feel their warmth in full view?

Ladies bored as always
Doesn't know the game
Give her LBW
And thinks it's just a game
Always wondering on leg square
Sun got's me dreaming
Cotton on my head
Reeling
To a dance

Forgetting to press body thoughts
against body, a reason for ...
staying with me for now,
the reaching up missed, even if
lips pressed lips and eyes met eyes
allowing you to haunt me, taunt me
with visions of yesterday...
needs of today.

LBW that's the trick
Body in front of wicket
An old trick
Umpire says no
Score is on
Lips pressed hard
Tea waits on

I know truth and feel want,
though sometimes waiting for the roses,
the adornment that kisses my mind:
to sleep in calm, to dream in color
to lift my burdens and yes, to be happy...

Stay visible to me
for tomorrow is "the way to forever"
and the eyes never lie...

On a dawn
A sun rises
And we wonder why

For a lot of people

i dont know why but this poem saddens me so, but that is how i know a poem is wonderful, that emotional response, that attachment, the fact that somebody in a differnt life can feel the same way about the same things...loved this

Awake through motion with curiosity to curtain your first move
Over arms length they'll break protocol
Jealous envy for the youngest one
