This day:
You stand still, for a moment,
At the bottom of a well; dipping
Warm air...then you will begin
To rise, (after filling your bucket)
To baptize and rebirth us.

Because you hide, Shiva is blamed,
Despised... what a shame,
That accusers disguise their fears
And sate, distress beliefs
By binding themselves
To such a linear fate.

Though war-fires rage, you ignore
And follow your assigned path;
Above all threats, beset
With no need to pray for relief,
From what human anger desires...

Cursing moods besiege the joy,
In those who feel profane, and ask
Why, they must sit and wait;
Shivering, bereft of heat?

But nothing here, you have destroyed
By fulfillment of your task...
For your journey far away allows
New lives (sleeping in old roots)
Rejuvenate...by needed rest..

Your absence is temporal,
Does not a non believer make,
Of the patient-pious who wait
The time you will recenter their space;
For they trust new life, will again erupt,
From mother earths, obedient crust.

...dang...

I'll come back to give a better response soon....

right now, I'm looking for my lost words...

Excellent writing. I so enjoy reading your work,
even if I feel like my response is never sufficient.
Hugs,
Ethel

Gregory’s calendar
[Sun knowing such things
on personal levels]
skips light slippery to the southernmost
to dance a jig with Capricorn

and you would say
Sun has run to hide, but lo
in the standing egg find rebirth,
Sun knowing the bounce back brings
home to her as solstice wans
and for one brief day

gather sleep as ye may.

told you I'd be back...
