This one
didn't have
the luck of the irish,
nor that of the others
within the species
to which she were born,

this one
just lay tossed,
on a slab of dark granite
an unnoticed sideshow, as
the whirling of traffic
rushes across,

this one
like the others,
once stricken
by the humankind,
hers, along
a harried highway,
her sister's
on the receiving ride
of a bullets cost,

this one will wear
multi colored caskets,
atop her lithe figure,
from the leftover leaves
that remain dressed in scarlet,
to the musings of ivory
that soon sprinkle
with winter's frost,

this one will decay a while
until the calls of kindness
moves her skyward, as
hearts of the passerbys
take pause,

this one, like the others
never really had a chance,
as the eyes of the cowards
make her a carcass, to
inflate their own manhood,
soon as her first breaths
are drawn.

sad, this - you paint a poignant picture -

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Waste not, want not ....

... even the most caring of souls have their darkness.
