Pretend to be a New York cop on his beat like a recipe I'd like to whip up you can don a blue blazer jacket become a civil guardian for the day keep the peace among the crowds... People can come up to ask directions you can answer, differ or seek deflection if there's an element of model citizenship like the recipe you wanted to whip you have a moment to set a good example that the comic in you would rather trample... So you give direction that same day then blow your cover in a subtler way just say, "look, Madison Square is over there but I'm no cop just to show you anywhere"! New Yorkers have a good sense of humor could have been an out of state,on a rumor they like the candor in a quick reply when treated to look alike NY cops who tried...
