brutal, the Cheshire wind
brings a fierce paralysis tonight,

the odors of licorice
swell the same way blood
possesses the pitch

of vein, blue
swathes of gypsum
fill the poplars
on the esplanade, prayers

fall in the cadence of rain,
and the Cheshire's blue flanks
flash in the welling panes of glass,

as she passes, faster
than the leapng blue flames
burning in an alley

for a kiss, few cherish

as her lips, feral
dip into the nether jaws,
pierce your tongue

brings blood to the mouth
as the vanilla moon
swoons a depth, more true

than lunacy, spills
the wind's fever is heard
to warn the mighty dead geese
to gather up their bones
in the flesh, screaming,

a Cheshire grin
brings its reprimand
in prisms, blue

over the slaughtered lilies
a slight swell of breasts,
stir the tremors
of the body's lowest chords,

release its brutal charms
in the pavilions of cacti and mirrors
gleam a desert mosiac shatters

over the fierce paralysis of night,
the Cheshire grins
smooth along the lips

soft as lips against lips, come
the crisis of swallows,
in the cellular elegance of my blood,
sore with sap, swells

on the tongue, these prisms
whir and brim over some
bruised fraction of our eternity.

There you are!

this was captivating babygirl.

I confess it may be beyond my understanding though. But reading it had the feel of looking at the world through a cube of ice...kinda of magickal reverie.

Enjoyed.

putting up with you???

are you kidding?

*chuckle*

Now how do you suppose I know how it is to look at the world through a cube of ice?(This is new orleans, so it wasn't by gazing out my igloo.)

Yep. I looked damned strange sitting at the bar doing that.

Smooth, I am.

So? now you have m'witch contemplating the world through ice prisms. (Not such a bad thing, altogether)

"But I don't want to go among mad people" Said Alice

"Tough t*tty!" Replied the Kitty

"We're all mad here"

Fascinating read - filled with undercurrents - the picture at the end gave me the chills - oy,

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Ahah, getting that whip your face kind of wind there again right?  I can remember being whipped down 5th against my will, and when she finally stopped, my eyelashes were frozen together on one eye, and I couldn't open it.  I was in panic,

WOWZERS what images!  Of course now that I have all your books of poetry from Amazon I actually am starting to understand you a bit more.

I loved the bed of liles - could see the death there.

By the way, don't tell anyone but I worked hard at becoming a Cheshire Cat, and can indeed be here one second, and gone the next!  I love his control I guess.

My favorite line from my favorite book of all time became. "Well I've often seen a cat without a grin, but a grin without a cat!  It's the most curious thing I have seen in my whole life!"

i absolutely love this. you use beautiful tactile and visual imagery. i can taste every word.

in the end it's not just you with your memories and your scars, fall on me if you ever forget how beautiful you are.
