Writing a sonnet;
Feeling tall but slow, awkward,
Like a man on stilts.

As the Amish say..."Better thee than me"

Nope, I may never try the Sonnet

I have....and while I do ok at it, I never have enjoyed writing them.....except one, and that one doesn't get posted here! I'll let YOU figure that one out.....

I'm thinking I should write a sonnet a day for a month, so I get more comfortable with the form.....hmmmmm....maybe I will!

What an incredible image! *S*

Sonnets have never been my favorite form... and yet... as if to defy my generalizations... some of my favorite poems are sonnets. *S*
I've no doubt any you write would join that list of favorites... but this senryu of sonnets is hard to top! *S*

They do tend to tilt one's brain at times...
I have made the attempt, and while I failed?  Trying was the whole point.

And someday I may possibly make that attempt again...

Our beloved Seymour has mastered the sonnet ~ and walks on those proverbial stilts quite well indeed!

Enjoyed your sonneteering senryu!

Ed

I've never tried and probably never will.  I did like your take on it at the moment just fine!
