An angel graced the clouds today.

Each tip of toe
rested for a spell
and I knew, precisely
where she stepped
for each leap and bound
sliced, as knives
fanning rays of butterscotch
through the blackened sky.

I could taste them.
The rum colored candies, falling
and for ten minutes
God smiled upon me
as the sun and I
became one.

Once again

An angel graced the clouds today.

And I, like the sun
cannot
stop
smiling.

---------------------------------------

Thank you, Santa.  A pure angel.
I am humbled . . .

Lovely-

Sue,
Too cool! I like it alot.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Good!

Sometimes Santa gets lost and dumps stuff where it sure doesn't belong yanno? I find it around, and figure it is sure a good thing there are honest elves     I hope to see a wee poem with a picture drawn by the egg eventually.  Who knows the egg may not fall far from the chicken.  A very Merry Christmas Suzie and Billy, and may the joy the season be in your hearts always as it is this day.

Oh my goodness, I almost forgot to thank you for this absolutely lovely poem, I will treasure it and have printed it.  Thanks you two!

Thank you everyone so much for reading.  Thank you especially to Sharon, who was so kind to make my son and I smile.

Ed?  I knew you knew, you sneak.

Sharon?  keep flitting and tossing glitter as you go . . .  I cannot thank you enough.

Thanks everyone.
