some velvet morning there
at window sighs in silver
my hands are talking trees
with rootless limbs
praying in saliva rain

I hear your hollow call
like the echo wind on wing
you carry footsteps to my soul
wrapped in linen of virgin skin
I am apache stones with eagles

you make soft the deerskin memories
and dip your fingers in red oceans
you wear the eyes of long knives
above your belly skin wound
in the bosom of the crickets tooth

I bring the slow run milk
from a whisperer's serpent
you sit on warm fire ground
and watch the hands of man
make you a new day goddess

and you wear the dream drums skin

Touch the skin of leather warm
from bare the deer of yesterday

when eagle feather or down of dove
carry one's spirit this way

beat the drum, I shall hear...
and speak you poet, every day

Daddy D?

You are just so primal...and yet with such smooth edge.

I don't reply as often as I read.

Many times I am rendered speechless.

But know I'm here, and yes, I enjoy.

the rhythm of the beat resonates and stirs the spirit to dance, open to the rain that comes, as hands raise in answer to gifts given -

I am like Serenity, don't comment often but I wouldn't miss reading your work.  This was another jewel.
