Time to procreate
she said with a little smile,
that left me with a little smile
all of my own, and to myself I laughed.

Procreation requires work,
and it has always been my philosophy that
one should take pleasure in their job,
and this is certainly a job
that a man can derive some pleasure in.

But on the other hand,
just a flip of the coin away,
a child is needy and
requires work, yes, but they take up time
as well as having needs.

I have needs all of my own
and I’m not sure if one of my needs
is the need to create an open market
in an environment where the  realized
number of opportunities to meet those needs
are considerabley lower
than the projected figures proposed.

Do I need the competition?

LOL, you are really thinking this through, aren't you? Good for you, for not everyone plans past the moment of passion.
Yep, they can be serious competition, as well as serious joy-makers.
