Once Upon A Poet

Once upon a poem
Quilled in ink of time
There lived the soul of poet
Immortalized in rhyme

Spilled upon the pages
In brightest butterfly hue
An art admired by many
An artist known by few

Listen...you may hear it
The steady beat of heart
Feel the breath of spirit
Her presence to impart

Keep her in your knowing
Forget not of this day
Take with you in remember
What poet had to say

And the reason I liked THIS one so much,
is because it sits as well for our male poets
as it ever did for our female poets.

I continue to see SO much talent here in our blue walls, and yours stands at the top with the best, Vicky...

thank you, my friend, for reposting a couple of my most favorite poems of yours!

thanks for the repost.
