when everything that’s green
reaches upward and out
and the days of spring and summer
go on and on and even the weeds
the unwanted ever present uncared for
weeds seem happy
life’s final demise seems
far from the beating of the sun
and it would seem a lie
to be screamed
at the insolent blue sky
that you are no longer
here to share it

but when the sky starts to fall
little white bits at a time
and gloom squeezes the color
out of the day it is somehow
easier to see you in His arms
instead of mine and somehow
easier not to wish you
warmly layered and ready
to brave the frigidity

And thus, the forgiving begins...
You are a remarkable woman, mother,
friend...

Oh, lady... there are times when I'm awestruck by your ability with words... this goes to the very heart of me... makes me so proud to call you friend.

Wishing you peace... smiling at you. *S*

And the healing continues.
JB, you are a much stronger woman than I.

I've sat here for over five minutes trying to come up with some appropriate response that would not sound trite and I just can't do it. All I can say is I feel what you caused these words to make one feel..and I'm struck by the brilliance of your writing.

Wishing you all the best....

A heartwrenching piece of writing that touched me.  Of course, salvation is the greater gift of life, is it not?  Which is greater?  To stay here touching lives as you do or go home to Him?  Both worth the living and the living through (as far as I'm concerned).

This was a sweeping poem full of depth and feeling.  I engrossed myself in your every perfectly placed word.  Truly inspirational writing divinely inspired.

Sometimes it does just this...even in summer. You write this agony with such a gentle touch....beautiful.
