With my darkling

0 posted 2004-11-21 01:11 AM

I will find a place to tame
inside myself this bitter flame
that tends to chant and chant your name
as source and cause, to cause me pain

I can read your shallow mind
and deep within a place I find
a reason why my life won't rhyme
but someday I will make the time

I can also feel your pain
today it saved your life again
it saves my soul, when I refrain
from darkling thoughts that cause me pain

I can wait, for precious things
and just ignore the hate you bring
for pain you pray my soul to sing
is what you teach our girls is king

So I will just await the day
that they walk up to you and say
that mom, your hate, it's made you stray
from God, we'll stay at dads today

this is sad - but it is true, seeds are sewn by actions and little eyes see - and in the end are drawn to the capassionate - better never a bad word said on your part for they will see on their own -

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Love this!! It isn't fair for kids. Its sad that some parents just have to be that way. Believe me, I have experienced it.

Jason, you paint a very realistic picture,
and I am sorry that you were given circumstances
to do so...but you did relate it, realistically.

Long time gone since I last read you Jason - this is eloquent and sad and if your truth - many blessings.
