Fall
on the GI Bill

I walk to school as usual
the campus not far
from where I live

the air is cool
I have long hair
and wear a beard

on the road I see your car
approaching  you wave
I nod my head

we are young
strong
and ignorant with innocence

the leaves rustle
under a cloudless sky

Derrick,

Thank you for bringing up a, personal, favorite poem.

Huan Yi was the reputed composer of
“Three Variations on the Theme  of Plum Blossoms”  written sometime between AD 265 and 420; a beautiful melody usually now played on flute.  I personally have several
CD versions.

John

hmmmm this was like pressure sounds...nice ones....like little electrical fingers up and down the spine, soothing and taking us to a place of sublime.
