You’ve been left.
You’ve been right.
You’ve been everywhere,
But up.

It seems like anytime
You love someone else, it’s a crime.
Does anyone really fall in love anymore?
Have I ever felt it before?

I think it’s all some sort of race
To see who can get around with a pretty face.
To see who can keep the emotional pace
Going and going till there’s nothing left to give.

In stead of going left,
In stead of going right,
Why not go straight up
Where I’ve never been before???
