I Dream of Suzie

I like the way
her name sounds
when I say it
nice and easy.

I like the way
she looks, the
way she talks,
the way she acts,
casual yet breezy.

I like her soft skin,
her tender lips,
her femininity.

She fills my thoughts
throughout the day,
and in the evening
she doesn't elude me,
for after I fall asleep
then I dream of Suzie.

Ah, sweet dreams to you . . .

Susan

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

James, enjoyed.

I too knew a girl whose name was poetic, yet never incorporated it in a poem.

maybe someday.............

Beautifully written.  Simply.  Elegant.  Classic love song is what I hear.  I loved it.
