...Kick Me When I Am Down

I should be sleeping...instead
I am in a troubled wake, tired
of all the wondering I am forced to travel.

If it is an apology you want,
then you have it.
I apologize for being me, never knowing
that I have joined the ranks of "farce",
apologizing for not being able to hold in my feelings
when overwhelmed by words that trivialize
who I am.

There could be no better assassin, than words.
Those that can dance the mind to tears
and build walls to block those bridges
that need to be crossed.

I am left with a hollow feeling,
at a time when hollow is as empty as empty can be.
I have sunk into oblivion, waiting for nothingness
to overtake me so I can live a life
free from guilt.

M

to live a life free of guilt, one must forgive one self...and if others continue to persecute, then it is time to move on.

Love and hugs sent your way...

How about this time you put the guilt where it belongs?  On whomever decided to chastise you, especially now.

M? don't take this, you don't deserve it and maybe, just maybe you should get mad!!

M   you are much like me
and sometimes we need to realize
the guilt lies elsewhere
even when they wish us to believe
it lies within.

M, I can't hold in my feelings or words either...but now I have to learn, or at least have another job waiting for me if I crack

it's sad not to be able to express feelings...makes a relationship kind of pointless I think...

Shake off that needless guilt Maureen & forget any unkind words. You are a warm, caring human being. hugs, Chris

Sad...
But I know where that place is, being guilty as charged.
Enjoyed.
