One step beyond a moment,
when the juices of grapes mingle
with fingers thirsting a wine’s
soft blush.

Beyond the tic of a worn clock,
seeing love escape into the night
air...wondering if....

Beyond the leap of one’s heart
as a whispered need brings to
stir the fires...

One step beyond tomorrow...
As dawn comes into a window
and a light breeze furls a curtain
of sheer...waking soft eyes...

Yes, one step...as souls touch
in the night and moons fall into
the horizon of stars...as owls
call their mates and a Loon cries
upon a shimmering lake...

And an echo whispers repeatedly...

I....love....youuuuuuu

One step before beyond brings
a morning’s mist to cover
a meadow’s green, as lovers
lie peacefully...one step beyond.

This is one of the few times I enjoyed having a slow computer. I had the time to breathe the beauty of this before the reply screen appeared. Hmmm. I think I will go back for another read and breathe some more.
