she closes the front door to her life
with a breeze passing by
her life is a rollar coaster

she breathes in the bittersweet aroma of repitition
with memorys flying past her
spontaneity just out of reach

his lips made an imprint on her
his cologne lingers on her mind
like a cool summers night

she can never forget
pouring her emotions into a paper cup
wishing she was so much more than this

Chelsea, I thought this was really good.  I particularly liked your opening lines.

A very good poem about self examination

As simply as you will be more tomorrow from the events of today
You will be so much more and are already
You will not forget, but you will forgive, yourself and others who have shadowed your karma...
and then, there are those who compliment your being, those are the memories to embrace.

I believe if we all felt we'd like every persons
thoughts of us who we've known to be good ones, perhaps we'd think first before we react to negative?

Especially enjoyed...his lips made an imprint on her

As does everyone, everyone you meet and will continue to meet leaves something behind for you to savor and learn from

This was a deliecate read...thank you for sharing.

Depth of feeling is poured into this piece, pain, sorrow, longing.  What's good to remember is we are as a spring bubbling from the earth, what is spilled, sometimes spoiled from outside sources, is replaced with purity and renewed chance.

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Yes, breathe deeply, but remember
to exhale.

I enjoy your ability to always leave the reader with an emotional thought.
