foolish thoughts

to release these shackles
that words have put upon me
and fashioned my fall in life

to rise up against and locate elsewhere
a search of need
to silence the tunes that once played
the other side of pain
every time you were near

I feel the cold of winter while putting up
the snow fences of my mind
leaving the challenges behind for others

I know deep inside what lies there,
those dreams, the real, the tranquility of a love
that fills and overflows, lingering
in the shadows of foolish thoughts...

After reading one of yours a month or so ago, I wanted to make sure to stop by more frequently.  You have a way of making the reader feel blood rushing through the heart!
I enjoy your writing.

Foolish????  Not at all.  Time has it's own path around the sundial, we are only to wait for the casting of the shadow.

A very nice read with a smooth flow that captures the reader to the end.  No loss or detour in this piece.

"foolish thoughts"

these are the things that fuel our drive into the unknown.....to push us even when we feel we are making a mistake.....

foolish maybe, but may still lead to those greater things you long for....

you touched me with this, and i do enjoy reading you
