Over All the Rest

Often in the evening
When grey shadows come
I can see more clearly
All the things I’ve done
And when the darkness settles
Softly on my breast
I can see your image
Over all the rest

Sometimes in the morning
When the sun appears
I cansense this passion
Growing through the years
I can feel your fingers
In a warm caress
And I can hear you whisper
Over all the rest

Over all the lightning
Through the blackest storm
It was always you
Who kept me safe and warm
The distance never left me
Very far behind
For though the stormy winds
I traveled back in time

Sometimes in the winter
Though the blinding snow
I see all the words
I wanted you to know
But when the sunset settles
Deeply in the west
You will be the warmth
I feel upon my breast

And I will hold you dearly
Over all the rest

A deep devotion just as it should be.

The flow in this was superb, not only line to line but verse to verse.  I think we have all come to expect that from you anyway.  You give us images with the passion and meaning behind them but never fail to keep the content in the forefront.  Exceptional write.
