I must say I love you all but don't have time to stay
Lots of work and other things are standing in my way
The law and I are on bad terms regarding the rare sheep
Some dude is setting rules and he's depriving us of sleep

I have to paint the house but the rain is pouring down
It's July, and Queenie cold is wearing a golden crown
I went fishing but no fish would ever bite my bait
I just have set a meeting on a totally wrong date

I wrote notes remembering all that needs to be done
Suddenly they disappeared and OEPS, they were all gone
My sander scared today the living daylights out of me
While sanding, it went BLEEP, BLEEP, BLEEP and also POUF you see

And then I couldn't find that matching cash register slip
I had to buy a new one, wich pushed me down into a dip
Good thing is though that it popped up, a few days later on
And in the store they told me 'You'll get a refund Hon'

I promised to send a poster to my salmon fishing club
I didn't even think about it, or even have set it up
Stupid mails from members who're ignoring all the rules
Writing emails, lots of them, handing out the tools

One and one is two they say, but to them it's really three
Are you getting confused already, or is it only me
Can you tell me how I used to work full time each day?
I think I'm going back to work, retirement's too much work I'd say

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Funny, yes.  I know many retired people who think it is more work --

Titia darling heart sister, this made me smile and smile, it is so full of the flavour of you. I remember so well your smile and your humour, you made New Poet Richie extra special. Thank you for this smiling gift. This is a wonderful piece of writing and YOU are a wonderful gal. Love it utterly, utterly utterly

DarlingTitia~

You could just come on to FLORIDA
and throw out that fishing line
I can PROMISE YOU THIS
the fish will bite just FINE~

To heck with the house paint
leave it to be done another day
by those almighty MEN
who know EVERYTHING anyway !

You are such a sweetheart ... thanks for the *giggle-schmiggle*
