No money to pay, no meter maid,
and an empty space next to the curb
but to park for a day could be a lifetime
alongside a hungry storm water drain
waiting to swallow my individuality.

Through climatic changes and conundrums
I left and right search for a corner, a bend,
and an end to misty recalls
of shadowing forms throwing dice
and transparently betting on my destiny.

I’ve crossed the line into spring,
summer waits nonchalantly,
but a bend into autumn could bring happiness
and a corner to winter could settle the blues
if sleep doesn’t befall a weary traveler.

Easy maneuvers beckon the weak
and avow desecration of soul
till the eventual cessation of hope
flows down a storm water drain
and erodes the foundation of life.

But to travel conundrums of spirit bargaining
and the possible exchange of attributes
keeps the foolish in constant movement
unable to know if love is a lie,
a leer a smile, and who stands left or right.

Left or right ... but who can survive
the uncertainty of climatic changes
in combination with
the disarray of conundrums
and still remain on course with soul?

You can, of course, find the current that  takes you safely through the rough channels
to higher ground.
I always enjoy reading you.

With this much doubt, methinks "it" should be "left" behind...

Or not.

Ummm, you are not driving to the destination are you, or it could become an ever diminishing circle :-)

Midnitesun - thanks for the read.  Yes, there are always currents be they in air or sea and when we find them, well, we simply glide or float along weightless and free - perhaps not the intention of life.

Sunshine - thank you for your valued opinion ...   ... or not.

time prophet - No, I ain't a travelling lady because I know where ever diminishing circles lead - and I'm too ladylike to say.

Who?  You.  Wonderful lady, you share a difficult journey with us all and I so appreciate your words.   ....jo

Dixie - thank you but I'm not too sure about the "wonderful" bit.

Jo, Thanks - perhaps we ourselves make the journey difficult but why the journey and where does it lead if not always and only to the inevitable end of it all.
