Time whirls away thoughts
Filling out quilting frames
Night dances with bottle in hand
You go absorbing the corn

One faint morning dry leaves fell
Where cool breezes rattle aloft
Light falls brittle and blue
One chair fills a table for two

Steps hover within arm’s length
Bleeding I call 911
Finding a dollar in my pocket
Red eyes turn to music modest

For of the grouping sounds
In forms the air rings out
Music said life tangles and drifts
But shapes soon turn swift

No matter what one makes of time
It is always possible to find
That jade green path
However small, however practice
In the great wake of life
Which never lets go
There waits the facelift of rainbows

"One faint morning dry leaves fell

that stanza hurt...aching hurt...

but the rainbows...yes, waiting for something new and uplifting...

really enjoyed this LeeJ

many thanks to you all for reading and commenting...
Inkgoddess inspired these words, this morning after reading her poem, well, simply, the pain of a breakup with someone I dearly cared for, adding insult to injury, he didn't pick me...forcing a smile...well, simply trying to convey the pain of that rejection, but also staying focused on each new day, embracing me..with knowledge and perhaps wisdom..preparing for something special.

You guys are great...very professional, fun, funny, and supportive.

Thank you all for taking the time to read and comment...you are greatly appreciated.
