Inner Darkness

Always searching his inner mind, his psyche.
Trying to find the answers, the reasons,
for these nightmarish dreams.
The reason for the pain, the agony,
tormenting his fevered brow and psychotic mind.
Questions-
A mere mortal cannot possibly understand
the pain endured in these monstrous dreams.
Lying in a dampened bed a tortured soul-
Cries for forgiveness.
His cries for redemption
go unanswered.
He is, in his sickened mind, a miserable,
murderous, inhuman parasite.
No inner peace, no hope,
no getting back his inner sanity .
Now his only companions
within his psychotic mind
are
dreams of agony,
darkness and lonely misery.
