On
Cyber Romance

I talked at length with my dear friend, Kay,
About cyber dating, and romance today.
She has these “flings” on the Internet,
To tell you the truth I simply do not get.

I was really stumped at her and her fantasy.
A virtual man couldn’t be better than one holding me?
“So let’s get this straight,” I said, “When you’ve been kissed,
If it’s virtual, how do you know if he hit or missed?”

“It’s not like that,” Kate tried to say,
“It’s different, intense, in another way.”
“So it’s better or safer you say to keep him at bay?”
“How do you know it’s for real or just all play?”

“When he holds your virtual hand so you won’t part,
How can you feel his pulse, and his heart?”
“And when you look up so deep into his eyes,
Can you see there what he’s trying to disguise?”

“Now his family Kate, are they really nice?
Or do you talk to them all too with hands on mice? (mouse’s         )
Give me a break, do you feel no rue,
About these affairs you hide from your husband, Lou?”

“Instead of making a fantasy you can’t feel or hold,
Better create one at home,” to Kate I told.
“Whatever you are dreaming, share it with your man,
Try to create fire in his furnace, I know that you can.”

“Now if it’s too hot in your oven, then get the heck out,
If cyber affairs are what think you’re about.
Did you ever think this jerk might be married, with kids?
Maybe down on his luck, even in the skids?”

“Trust me when I tell you, I too love to surf the net,
But I don't want a virtual man, only a real one you bet!
I made some great friends and let them into my life,
But when it comes to my men, I don’t want any bits or bytes!”

“Getting hurt you see is extremely real on the net,
Talk about an intense experience you soon won’t ever forget.
Oh ... how do I know what I am even saying to you?”
"Well Kay, you see, I did it once on the net myself too.”

Sharon,
A very cool write and some wise advice.
But I'm afraid I'm in love with all the gals.

LOL with Sy's response...for I know
he only loves us for our words alone!

Mys...this is great.  So cool,
I felt as if I were in school,
learning all over how it could be,
if I could get past cyber-mysterie....

Enjoyed this -- much truth held within the humor.

Thank you.  I was just playing with a conversation a friend in here and I had earlier today about players on the internet, both men and woman.  The truth is more often than not, when a fantasy begins to become a reality watch them run. Too many people are eventually hurt.  Now I know there are exceptions but I sure don't know any.

Sy   I gave you a real hug and kiss on the cheek in person, so I know YOU are adorable and very real!

Very wise write, Mysteria...

Yep - I've gotta say - Sy is a   ... Got my real-time hug & kiss too, and I wouldn't trade that for the world...

Nor would I trade my ever-dearest friend (discovered here on the net)... even if he doesn't speak till the first pot of coffee is consumed... Hm... Another cup to go, methinks...

I typed this great response and lost it, so this is it folks!

Okay I admit it, I watch Dr. Phil, and one day there was a rather attractive girl on there who had this cyber affair with this guy for 5 years.  They were engaged and she had not even seen this guy in person.  The parents thinking this weird got Dr. Phil to do his intervention and expose this person to her.

If you guessed that he used a different name, was married with kids, lived in a trailer, and was old enough to be her Father, you win. She kept the ring.

There are a lot of crazies out there and unfortunately they all seem to have found their way to the internet, if they can afford a computer.  I just hope anyone is careful that is all, that includes both men and women in the wide world of fantasy we play in. We all need to use common sense so our fantasy doesn't become a nightmare.  If it doesn't add up, subtract it!

Thank you so much for reading this one, it was fun to do.

Enjoyed the poem, and just so no one is misled, I am a 32 year old, five foot one, 347 pound, toothless hermaphrodite who munches garlic like candy on the days my welfare check arrives before I spend it on Old Milwaukee.  Other than the three wives and 17 kids, that is about all I can say about myself.  (and the trailer even has one of those there them water cooler things if I can get one of the kids to haul water up from the crick)
Jimmy Joe (the name my momma gave me, naming me after the two guys that might have been my Pa)

Hi!  Amazing but this was the very topic on 20/20 on Friday, so I guess the internet has become a greater homewrecker than the remote control , that other "real" woman, sports, cars, or even toilet seats let up apparently in statistics!  In fact, so many people are hooked on internet porno in fact, that it is a huge business they said.  Scary, very, very scary that we have to escape reality to find what we are seeking sometimes, but nonetheless, it seems our nature.

Oh...yadayada, thanks so much for enjoying this one.
