Aphorism's

1.

Mayhap if my words were not glued to tongue,
I'd soliloquize for thee a lyric,
Yet by loutish dialect I've been stung,
And I know not the meaning of pyrrhic.
Metrical foot of unstressed syllables,
Means naught to me...ah the turn of tables!

2.

There is not an ache your kiss can not heal,
Though you are but want and loves oft surreal.

3.

I'll bid not da Vinci to snare thy semblance,
Nor exact from Tchaikovsky gothic romance,
'Tis the rhythm of Shakespeare thou adores,
So these quaint little lines are not mine...but yours.

4.

Though life has wearied me beyond my years,
And time's arrested the best I could give,
I hear the winsome music of the spheres,
And that night with you I live and relive.
Alas though 'tis but a dream I recall,
For we've ne'er met...though I live down the hall.

5.

I’ve seen Clemens, "River," bejeweled with leaves,
Stood midst the Rockies perplexed by times' weaves,
By way of a telescope weighed the moon,
Yet there's naught like your eyes for which I'd swoon.

6.

Through restless nights I’ve been searching within,
Heeding the cry of mine own violin,
O’ the melody cleaves my very soul,
‘Til lost to dementia I ease self-control,
And ‘tis here in mania I’m with thee,
Blithe in a kiss pinned beneath yonder tree.

7.

We can't withdraw the words we have spoken,
For twixt you and I 'twas true loves' token.

9.

O’ ambrosial blossoms wafting away,
Thy bouquet tarries although thou do not,
‘Tis the fragrance of loves’ sweet disarray,
The keepsake of the lips I’ve not forgot.
Blessed are the retrospection’s I hold near,
For they’re the reminders of thee my dear.

10.

Along the curve of spine I’ll find thee love,
Amidst pinnacles which few can speak of,
And I’ll know thee in kisses hot with need,
‘Til the moon and stars fore daybreak recede.
Then exhausted we’ll lie in a twined heap,
Ere the sun withdraws and to want we sweep.

11. Peculiar Perception

If there be a Heaven ‘tis in your eyes,
And the staircase methinks is silken thighs.

12.

I can never say, “I love you,” enough,
Though love is oft lust when you’re in the buff.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

i could quote a favorite from
each one... i could say that
you leave this reader breatheless
from the emotional pour... i could
say that this reads beautifully
aloud..soft and gentle.. as though
touched, by a whisper ..

i could say all of that, and more.....
but my dear, you've made me start grinning
and giggling, by the time i went from 11 to
12.... and now i can't think past the word

buff....

oh .. kevin, you touch this heart so. it was worth the wait..... but you were still missed so very much, love, ~S

(Snicker) That is precisely the response 11 & 12 are suppose to get. The piece is meant to be serious up to that point...then it is time to jump from the emotional high and just laugh because to do so feels good. Glad you liked this sweetie.
