I died today
in a split second
of clarity
I let go
the binding
realities
that often held
my heart on tight
strings
pulling me into
safely folded spaces.

I died today
and Buddha says
it was a job well done,
but… this lesson
will heal
the inconsistencies
tethering me
solidly to doubt

and nothingness comes in waves

and chanting less melodic
when the mantra sings

~a little less suffering, please
a little less suffering for me.~

did the dhamma forget to whisper
the missing truths to me
how the end lacks
emotional contact
and peace is
deeper
than it ever did seem
in waking moments

I was breathing
my eyes were blinking
my heart kept beating
and yet life evaded me

until I died
until I died

today I died

to find just how alive
I’m destined to be.

Mutes  (the venerable cuted one) -- Ah, yes....a wise man told me that we have seven deaths to go through....I cannot even imagine!  Enjoyed your words of wisdom and so glad that you're still living!   ....jo

Beautiful write.......very wise, powerful, intuitive...

Tangled as my hair,
this circle of day and night
illusion no longer--
the sound chanted sutras,
in the morning bird's soft song.

You feel like you died, but we lived
was watching over us maybe ?
or it was the burrito's ?

It's not the blindfold that blinds you,
it's the person that puts it there.
