How can I ... when the words are caught
within a shudder of overwhelm.  When the memory
of their time so deeply still moves me.  When tears
lie lingering within the corner of hazel eyes.

The beauty of her, so radiant, so pure, yet
so captive to the years that separated her from
her knight....

Her hair, of the era, so soft and delicate, so
desirous of touch....A man would sell his soul
to have just his hand stroke the locks of a
belle so fair...

This dream, becoming a reality.....after years
of what had never been.....I was there,  my tears
stained the pillow where he lay.

Lie me upon the still cool earth that
I might dream and touch a silken face hidden
within the Grandfather’s clock...
awaiting just the right tick of time to come and
awaken within the walls of a room where countless
affairs bloomed and a myriad of stars danced the
ceiling above...as lovers kissed in torrid
abandon...

And, as the end brings to ears my last sigh,
allow my soul to join what once was mine to
cherish......that I might smile upon her face
and weep forever....tears of joy....

For within my pocket lies nothing more than
a hand awaiting her own....and love shall
bloom eternal, somewhere in time.

This reminds me of my very own favorite movie, Magnus...and I feel as if you have captured my own feelings, as well...

Most beautiful.  What heart you have, what soul, your words a reflection of your essence.  Thank you for letting me step into a romantic and magical realm . . .

Sad piece, especially that verse.

BJ, now this really was a hankey alert.  Somewhere in Time; one of my favorite movies.  And now, if I can bear to read this again, snif, snif, I'm saving it to my libary.  You lovely man, you.   ....jo
