Blustery brisk December day,
bathing all in frigid gray.
Glacial winds cleave the air,
slyly thieving my despair.

Winter's death begins descension,
as my dreams commence ascension.
Earth's gelid sleep beyond contention,
my exultation defies comprehension.

As I walk this necropolis of frozen ground,
despite the brittle screech of arctic hound.
Though its hollow cry's a demonic sound,
I awe at the felicity I have found.

Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn.

    Hauntingly dark, wonderful job here

Good imagery here.  I could see the "brisk December day."
