I thought you were different I thought you'd understand I thought you were the one for me, and I the one for you I thought you'd turn my life around I thought you'd help me stand I thought your words were true, and you know I'd never lie to you But you were just like the rest And you couldn't understand You were never the one for me, and I was just a toy to you You sucked the hope out of my life And when I reached out for you, you always let me fall Every last word that you said, was most likely a lie I never tried to hurt you, even when you burned my trust alive And I guess I thought wrong... well never again |
