Discovery and Talismen

Keening for my soul's freedom,
Keening like the ancient ones' before me,
My deliverance is at hand,
So simplistic yet almost prophecy.

Life lessons learned,
Have made me all I am today,
All that I value and treasure,
These too have paved the way.

My journey of enlightenment,
My discovery of inner self,
No longer these foundations can be denied,
No longer they are hidden on the shelf.

Transcending from yet another plain,
Destiny recognised and verified,
I happily follow my path,
But even I sometimes become terrified.

Is it all as simple as it seems?
I am only keening for two things,
The talismans from which I draw strength,
The fulfillment these talismans bring.

I ask nothing much for myself,
Only to love a soul the same as mine,
And to recharge my batteries,
With these beloved talismen.

These talismen? Simple really..
Adventure, purpose, and discoveries,
It is a meaningless existance,
That would be the end of me.

So.. to have a soul similar to mine,
To have adventure, purpose, discoveries,
To treasure and respect all that is special to me,
This is how my soul is set free.

Om Mani Padme Hum,
The jewel is set free,
Now to keep it polished and treasured,
Then enlightenment will always be within me.

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....

Spitfire thanks hon I am really pleased with this poem it means a lot to me, and is definitely by philosophy glad you liked it
