Your promises
Your lies
You demanding for another chance
Are all of what I think about in my dispirited train of thought
Aware that you're the only one...
Who can impair me like you do
I cast my eyes to the ground
As I feel useless
Somewhat inadequate of happiness
My body is weary from leaning over
Picking up the pieces of my heart
Which you recklessly shattered on the floor
What shifts through your mind?
Maybe you do't see the hits I take
The mental blows to my head
That leaves my thoughts spinning
And my soul charred with sadness
Or maybe you do
And it is prosperous to you
Sometime I'll figure it out
How I handed those chances out like gifts
With nothing in return
And now I still sit and think
About my swollen heart
Too miserable to work
But still I give you
One more chance
Because I love you

We do keep going back for more don't we, I guess untill we learn.
Very heartfelt poem.
Joel.

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

~Hey there   This poem is too real for me,...it's amazing what some will do.  In my case, I was giving so many chances because I was afraid of what I was alone...I was afraid to BE alone...you know?...Please take care of yourself. *Peace. BTW,...great expression.
