HUSH, sweet babe don't say a word. Mother is going to buy you a mocking bird. If that mocking bird will not sing... I will pluck out all of its feathers and tear off his wings.... HUSH,sweet babe... Mother is going to buy you a diamond ring. If that diamond ring doesn't shine, Mother is going to buy you a looking-glass. If that looking-glass should crack I will bleed the seller and brake his back. HUSH, sweet babe. Mother is going to buy you a horse to ride. If the horse does not be true and nay I will slice his belly open wide and stuff him with hay. HUSH, swett babe...
