I was thinking
Contemplating to myself
And I came to realize
That I live on a world
I know nothing about
Know nothing of others' lives
Know nothing of experiences
So complex I couldn't imagine
The problems that don't imediatly affect me
I brush off
Even though I pretend to be concerned
And think I really am..
I must not be
Becuase I don't go out and do anything about it!
I was thinking
Like I usualy do
When I'm alone and concerned with my own meager problems
And I realized that I know nothing
Of this whole wide world I'm living on
Only of the one, centered around me
The one I'm living in!

Joy- I can also relate to this. I have felt this way alot. There are so many tragedies in this world and every person goes through their own personal ones. But I no longer think that one's own problems are less harder than another's. There is nothing meager about the battles we all face day to day. Just be thankful for what you have and be willing to help another when you can. Sorry to ramble, this just touched  me personally. It was lesson that I have had to learn.
So, anyway, nice work.

Thank you danni, I also feel this way.  It is just sometimes I feel so selfish thinking about my problems and ignoring others who must have it much worse off.

Joy I too feel this way, and another way of looking at it is the world would go on happily without us, we make no difference to all those other lives.
So I try to keep in touch with things via the news, and do what I can occasionally for the community.  Little tokens can go such a long way.  Well done

You have painted the perfect picture of isolation in this piece.  Very well done.

Really excellent, for me it is teh knowledge that I seek, but never seem to know enough.  There is more out there, and the people are the key.
