Vacation by the Sea

The curtain stirs,
white, thin,
complying with the modest frame
though pushing far enough into my room,
now and then, to afford a glimpse
of an exquisite harbor.
So begins, each year the same,
a week of singular access
to coastal breezes.
In afternoons the sea attends
the subtle, differential heating
of the land, moderating the calves and thighs
of women shopping.
Evening is a different thing,
or so I learn
as I lay reading.

Hi, Capt. Thank you much, though you are too kind, considerably. But then, seeing as how I pay you $5.00 per compliment ..... chuckling. Good to see you. Bob

You gave the curtain
life
with your eyes...

Well done, Sir.

What a wonderful sense of humor and sense of life you gift here.  Woven into delicate linen flowing in the sheer of mind.

Bob

There is so much I appreciate about art, in what is not painted...your poetry is that way.  Enjoyed!
