A world of  greasy hamburgers and pounds to lose,
patched up old clothes and flashy new shoes,
thousand dollar computers and unpaid loans,
welfare checks and gourmet doggy bones.

If you can afford a job, you're on top of the world.
We send "sorry" roses, their petals left unfurled.
We work towards freedom, for the guy down the street.
We work for bombs, guns, and men who cheat.

Let's start a revolution, if only for a day.
We'll set down our guns, and learn to play.
We'll cut our strings, look to our puppeteers and say,
"I want a world where I can be okay."

It's a world covered and smothered by safety nets,
where privacy is the price paid to fly on jets.
Where I comes before you, and me before we,
so that for one person's happiness, no one is free.

Where playboy is an aspiration; our bodies: clay to mold.
Where 90 years is young, but 14 is old.
When the whole world can connect, but no one can hear.
When everything can be cured, except for fear.

We'll start a revolution to last more than a day.
We won't need guns to have fun and play.
Our strings will be cut, our puppeteers will say,
"We want a world where happiness is okay."

Let's stop to worry about the trivial things.
No more arrogance, for only change brings
better placed pride, and a better shaped road
leading to a stronger home that anger can't corrode.

Replace the smog and drugs with clean allergens.
Rear healthy babies, cleansed with healthy sins.
Take care of our debts, we have plenty to share.
For once let us hope, let us be, let us care.

We need to start a revolution, a new one every day.
We don't need guns, just to relax and play.
We don't need strings, our freed puppets will say
that we need a world where happiness is okay.

Babies are having babies, and we wonder why
children are raising parents, and wanting to die.
Insanity is normal, the doctors decree.
The innocent are guilty, and the guilty run free.

Education is lost in a condom and beer bong.
Intelligence lies in beauty, which can never be wrong.
To be different is death. To kill, humane.
We're snails stuck helplessly in life's fast lane.

So let's start a revolution, and we'll be okay.
No more guns. Let's just let children play.
Let's dance on our own, let our own voices say,
"We should live in a world where happiness is okay."

Let's love to live, and live to play.
Let's not repeat history another day.
I want to start a revolution. I want to be okay.
So help me start a revolution. Let's learn a new way.

You Go...your amoung some good company.Martin Luther King and his dream,The Washingtons,Lennons and great spiritual teachers of this and past generations all helped make life better for many with that same attitude.Loved the welfare check and gourmet doggie bones line.Keep the faith and keep on writing...good stuff.

Live like it's your last day...
Dance like nobody's watching...
Love like you've never been hurt...
