Reappearance

What do I have to grieve, but what was never lost
But to the ecstasy of winds in flagrance tossed
Just tenderness and sentiments that marked the day
And will return when winds come blowing back this way?

What now remains of love that was in finger’s reach
And scattered as the sands upon a crystal beach
Swept to another shore on crests that dolphins ride
And will come back in poundings of another tide?

Which was the star that gathered dreamers in its flight
And sailed to the horizon like a falling kite
Illuminating skies in glowing pageantry
And soon will reappear in radiance to me?

I beg the blowing wind, the sea and sky to give
The precious moments passed that I may now relive
The love that I once tossed into the willful breeze
And reappears in prayer upon these bended knees

I pray for this too, for you!  What beauty comes from your heart, my friend.  I am always in awe of the words that come from that special place.

All the words are beautifully written, but I especially like these.  Enjoyed very much.

The rhyme and meter were very good as was the story within the words. Enjoyed!

How appropriate that I found this on the day of my return, huh?

What a lovely piece!  I felt it and saw it all as I read.  And this line----

Swept to another shore on crests that dolphins ride

Perfect!
