Sally broke my heart at Walgreens
and I cried all the way to Sears.
The pebbles and the stones,
life’s hard and tough terrain,
and of myself I asked
why I bought the shoes
that walked out on me.

When I paused at the gas station of love,
I got the self service pump
and a lady in distress.
I changed her oil, she changed my life,
and I went back to my fourth wife
for the third time
and gave her a second chance
to make a first class fool out of me.

I chanced upon a hall,
a pool hall with some balls,
and in the heat of passion
was heard to say out loud,
“Get off the table Mabel,
the two dollars if for the beer”.

I don’t usually drink
but Balladeer fell for her, she fell for me,
and he fell for Long-John,
whoever he may be.

On the ground entwined
I couldn’t face the crowd
but quietly I whispered,
“How can I get over you
if you won’t get out from under me?”
and she rolled to the side
left me face down in the dirt
because, you see,
all the girls that turn me on,
turn me down.

I gave her my heart
and a diamond
and she clubbed me
with a spade
all because,
Sally broke my heart
at Walgreens
and I cried
all the way to Sears!

Well,, what can I say?....LOL...this was wonderful gal....you are truly talented....I guess I'm just gonna hafta write one for you.....just when you thought it was safe to come to PIP...right?....thanks for the effort gal..you done good!!!
