Silly Sipping, Sunday

sipping on
my iced coffee
as springtime’s sun
tickles me

I ponder life,
its gladsome ring
and find it hard
not to sing

but should I do
such joyous play
my coffee’d sip
would drip away

the sweetness of
choc’lit and creme
would pock my look
and spatter we

so sing, I sha’n’t
if you don’t mind
for spattering‘d
be none too kind

not on me
not on you
not on clothing
not on shoe

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Lovely! Never resist singing! Whatever the price!  Those who sing live longer, says a recent survey.
