In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2004-04-29 05:02 PM

You are the song inside my soul
when I awake from quiet river

before me I see:

A world in  motion
beautiful under snow
for a moment you entered
the naked soul running

it was more then that:

stars had fallen
separating black&light

I laid my head back down
sleeping in a dream to watch

The moon rise again
with her pale innocence
soft strokes in a whisper of mercy
searching for the lost

Tonight, I wish I could
bring down the stars-- for you to touch
sounds of melody
wandering down as they do
soft petals landing

Tonight, I might  escape to the waters
with his  shadow of guitar
filling  nights sky
with  flesh of his fingers

A journey of light rain -- in rebirth
tracing patterns along bare hills

His storm brought me to this:

deepening the river of night
up to the edge of everything

~~

~~**~~
The way you move me
I walk with your shadow
With your silhouette
Leave the light on
It always comes
Back to you
~~**~~

~ [double]sigh... Your writings never cease to please me. I loved this part, especially. Pure writing perfection.

Lordy girlie...ya make it hard to pick fave lines in this one...the imagery is stunning..the ethereal essence of it is exquisite...the personifications make it hauntingly beautiful, blended toether it becomes pure poetic seduction at its most lovely.  Lauren...your muse and pen is enchanting.

The ink bleeds through cuz you're paper thin
you're one more fool with a paper and pen
lookin for a poem in the water stains on the floor.

I could sit down with a book of just your writings and be content for hours...

You are truly an amazing writer.
