Forgive me

i could not help myself
as you lay in your dwelling of green,
an army of yellow trampling the hilltops
on the rise of the new day;

i bent down
and picked up your spirit
only wanting to tribute you
in verse or in watercolor;

sadly you withered

with the confines of my own soul
pressed upon my heart's hold
that housed you in innocense,
sadly becoming your captor,

forgive me

i am sorry,

as your color sinks deep
within my own nakedness

Oh, sweet Inked, you soul is like one of these sweet colors -- I have often though the same when I trim my roses, but you know, they grow better if I do that -- don't know about dandelions, though.

Gives a whole new meaning to the Dandelions in my backyard!!

Lovely write, my friend . . . I think Dandelions every where are going to be proud of this - and I mean that seriously!

Michele I want to hug you for this!
I feel the same, but I am also with jwesley when he says Dandelions are proud to MEAN something to someone.
This is delightful!
Love and hugs. Margherita

I felt this deeply, as I've asked for forgiveness myself..

Beautifully written.

Lovely write - though not as lovely as the poet who authored it.  Looking forward to your next piece.
