Please do not turn away,
from the shadow of my smile,
for it is merely the yin of grin,
  bearing neither guilt nor guile.
My glasses may be tinted rose,
yet they see your true of heart,
this gaze is one from loving soul,
  and beholds your every part.
For when I really take a look,
  'tis then I truly see,
  beyond the surface painting,
  to within your inner sea.

This gaze is that of loving soul''''

indeed it is...

The way you move me
I walk with your shadow
With your silhouette
Leave the light on
It always comes
Back to you

Dixie ~

Yes, it is the inside that counts! It is just a bonus when the outside matches the glorious inside! lol

Actually, I posted this poem in a hurry before I went out today and when I just now reread it, I had to make a gazillion changes! It flows much, much better now than it did! Mind you, knowing me, the edits will continue to be made until the editing window has closed within the next 24 hours!

Thanks for dropping by!

Lauren ~

Gadzooks! I had to rewrite this poem just a few minutes ago! I left in a hurry after posting it and was mortified when I read it again when I got back! It was so disjointed! Oh, well, it seems to read more smoothly now!

Sometimes I have a difficult time putting a poem all together! It can take up to several tries and then I'm still not satisfied with it! lol

Love & Light,
Linda

(giggles) I can understand ever so much how when writing poems in a hurry they can look all loose later, hehehe! (smiles) Even when your angel wings are in a hurry you always write wonderfully, yay, God Bless You, I believe it is important to always be able to see a tear within a smile, or a smile within a tear, so we can reach out to one another in the most honest way, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

For when I really take a look,
  'tis then I truly see,
  beyond the surface painting,

And everyone has that "inner sea"
that is nothing but beautiful.
I love this, Linda Lou. It is so YOU.
