Was it love or lusty romance
that made ya dance that dance?
the one that kept ya grounded
inside a hopeless lover's trance?

while yer 'partner' did the two step
never intendin to dosey-doh,
did he catch ya in a love trap
but now says he wants no mo?

were you a twistin and a shoutin,
while now yer just a poutin?
and the venom is a spoutin
all over a blue dance floor?

was it love or lusty romance
that made ya dance that dance?
the one that kept ya grounded
inside a hopeless lover's trance?

Don't blame the poor musician
or the lyrics on his page,
just chock it up to experience
before yer anger turns to rage,

for the song of LOVE's too precious
to be buried in the dirt,
and it doesn't pay to wallow
even when yer heart's been hurt.

Was it love or lusty romance
that made ya dance that dance?
the one that kept ya grounded
inside a hopeless lover's trance?

*my feeble attempt at song lyrics...LOL, thanks for listenin!

It was probably all this beer that made me do it.

LOL, thanks Lee!
Jer, I'll drink a St Pauly to that.
Dixie, let's go have a brew someday, and talk.

good philosophy, but sometimes hard to follow...   I love this poem.  It's cute, but says a lot.  To the library.

Kacy, thanks for posting this -- I know just the person to send it to in an ecard -- it's absolutely perfect for them at this moment.  Are you psychic!

I don't know the answer and I don't dance, but I sure would drink to it.
