Apples come heavy in autumn
Sacks are a fillin
Flirting mountain songs
Therein gobbles cloudless blues
Like hungry little evil shadows

Morning carries ladders to noon
Midday rakes the odyssey of year’s fading
Picking the orchard still of photographs
My soul is a curious tycoon
On a perfect day

Drinking dippers of water from a spring
Is where I’m touched by you
When all thoughts are recoded within
Sweet delicacy of brim and crown
When all of day is filled with sound

I’m tugging at the sleeve of rhyme
Which could be sustained on and on
Like a peaceful coherence of forests prime
Waist high green grass growing open fields
Under a Tucson sun

Raspberry sky meets my cheekbone
Time to sit, write and sigh
Engaging burning attention
Transcending embryonic rhyme

Little growing orange flames
Spewing holdings, heapin high
Drawing mental bountiful foliage
Beside me, just standing by…

Marble landscapes of my journey
Burning slowly which evolve
Sometimes changing quit zesty
Powerful and resolved

We fall under the rule of heaven
Whether, we like it or not
Those quiet sounds between words
Become
River People…where serendipity lives
Knowing the richness in answering calls

Oh my....
this

"Drinking dippers of water from a spring
Is where I’m touched by you
When all thoughts are recoded within
Sweet delicacy of brim and crown
When all of day is filled with sound"

and then..

"We fall under the rule of heaven
Whether, we like it or not
Those quiet sounds between words
Become
River People…where serendipity lives
Knowing the richness in answering calls"

I am left with goosebumps and tears..
this really really touched and moved me.
Excellent piece of work Lee...simply excellent!!
