For LeeJ

The beauty of face
Is her feminine wealth
But her treasures lie deep
In the beauty of self

For she knows well of heartache
And knows well of pain
And her smile is the rainbow
That breaks through the rain

She glides down the rivers
Of sorrow and grief
In a vessel she’s carved
From the core of belief

In her spiritual well being
Lie wisdom and truth
That were fashioned of need
In an innocent youth

Her pure waters of life
Flow abundantly fast
But her eye of remembrance
Seeps into the past

It’s an eye bathed in blueness
Where a tear gently swells
It’s the stream that has risen
From childhood wells

She loves like no other
With love she would live
If another would harvest
The love she could give

And she laughs with a laughter
As bright as the sun
And her spirit swirls ’round
In a friendship she’s won

She declares her convictions
From where tenets begin
For her faith abides deep
In the waters within

Her endeavors are laced
With an honorable goal
For her purpose lies deep
In the wells of her soul

Her face is the mask
Made of beautiful skin
But her feminine beauty
Is harbored within

Thank you for lunch
It was wonderful!

Liz

Liz, this sounds so much like out Lee J.
What a lovely poem you have gifted her with.
I am sure she will be delighted.

Liz,  no doubt LeeJ will be extremely
pleased once she has read this.  You have
penned this lady perfectly,  for she is most
certainly a lady.

If I were writing her, I'd want to say just this, and in just this way ~~ even though she'd think I was making passes. It's the truth though, and I'm glad you said it.

I've never heard her laugh...

~*~

And she laughs with a laughter
As bright as the sun
And her spirit swirls ’round
In a friendship she’s won

~*~

But I imagine it is as pretty a sound
as you've described!  So nice, Elizabeth.
Thank you!

Dear Elizabeth, all your poetry is of true beauty, of no matter what you write, I am so sure Lee will be wonderfully deligted, you pen so well and it flows smoothly as a river, much enjoyed. Thankyou for sharing dear friend.

Sincerely
Rick

Oh! YOu live close enough to have lunch. I'm filled with envy.Lee J and I have wanted to meet for a long time. But I'm always broke.
We gabe on the phone all the time and we both have a wonderful time and a lot of the times it is filled with laughter.
When she sees this she is going to smile and cry at the same time.
Hugs to you both.

I am flabbergasted....is that a word?

Dearest Liz, thank you so very much, for your beautiful heart...it was a pleasure to finally meet you the other day.  Thank you for your oh so patient and understanding heart, as we had to postpone our meeting several times.  Liz, thank you so much for this beautiful poem...would you mind if I copy and keep it?

Love to you, and yours always, and I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
