the other wall without wood you remember the one at the library building after the books were gone when the sun skin dancers came and moistened glass with their mouths they were the fantasy film over exposed on purpose they made music with fingers sleepers listened with nods and sat on the front rows with their knees up the trees were painted on but we carved our initials anyway and hid under the bleachers til the children quit playing it was then we were dust and the long robes moved us as we looked up at nude ceilings bare feet were our tattoos time was pennies that cost us a quarter _______________ Dark |
