Sometimes I sit
staring into nothing
cradling a small glimmer
of something
in the palms of
my hands
waiting
for the warm touch
of sun and stars
softly
to bring it to blossom
while droplets of
hope
slip through my fingers
once in a while
I see
one of them shimmer
in a sparkle of tomorrow
as they fall
in slow motion
one
at
a
time
into yesterday.

Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Grow, and they will get closer.

BJ, this is absolutely beautiful. You described
hope so very well. I'm keeping this one.

As long as their are droplets there is hope.  You write incredibly well.  This poem is inspiring and thought provoking.  Forces me to look at missed opportunities, hope and my future.  However, I recognize as you have so eloquently wrote, hope still abounds.  Life holds infinite possibilities.  Thanks for sharing your poem with me.

garysgirl - I'm so glad you feel that way, glad I could brighten your day a little!  HugZ back at you.

passing shadows - Happy to see you agree

Kevo - There is always hope no matter what today may bring or yesterday brought... I struggle to remember that myself sometimes which is probably why this came out when I sat down.  I'm so glad I could inspire you in this small way and thank you so much for your kind words and comments.  You're more than welcome and thank you for taking a moment to stop by and read.

Kit - And I love hearing warm words such as those you left for me, I am greatful for your approval.

1slick_lady - Thank you, glad you enjoyed
