Field of Knowledge

Remains tapping at my window
Who would of ever thought after all this time?
That sharp reef of illusion was snuffed out!
But there it is, scattering memories like
Clutching post-scripts tugging at my throat
The ones which never really explain everything
Held fast to a breathing apparatus

I’ll defend all personal integrity
Despite your gripping performance
Ship wrecked at sea waiting for the rocks to crush
Any bondage
I was drowning in a monster of silence
With no map out of that castle of horrors
Dry humor never caught your eye
That short leash mated with my sighs of hard knocks
Which burst down the door of any winery
Did I have way to much to drink?
Or was it the dry spell afterwards?

Termites ate away all our bridges
Sure got they’re belly full…all structure was gone
I waited for clearance, but detoured to a lower level
Ones you might never return from or find your way home
So I thought I’d exclusively create an Arch and Vault!
Concrete girder’s with steel reinforced barb
You know what they say
If you build it, they will come!

What an exciting write.  This line really got my attention.

I especially liked the last stanza.  It's good to read your work again.  It seems like with Spring yardwork, I can't fit everything in!
